Youth Training and Events General Terms

General Terms of OSC Youth Training and Events. (Updated April 2024)

1. In booking training, supported sailing or other events you:

a) Understand that for all children under 16, a parent or their appointee (not an instructor) must be on-site and available to supervise their child immediately.

b) Consent to: 

(i) any treatment or medication being administered where necessary and for transport to hospital and any necessary treatment being carried out. You will be notified as soon as possible of any such treatment. 

(ii) your details being held by OSC and the use of any photos taken by OSC for training, marketing & its website in accordance with our privacy policy

c) Confirm that the booked individual does not suffer from any medical condition which could affect their safety or others whilst taking part in Oxford Pirates/Zoomers sessions. They may still be able to take part in Oxford Pirates/Zoomers sessions but we will need to assess each case on its merits. Please advise us in advance

d) Confirm that if the booked individual is using their own boat/board, that it is is in good repair and has third party indemnity cover of at least £3,000,000.00 (if applicable).

e) Understand that the OSC Supervision Policy, byelaws other terms of membership also apply.

2. To cancel a booking, please contact membership@oxfordsailingclub.com and/or the event organiser with details of the booking to cancel.
